a dawn of great change!
I am so proud of Americans for exercising their right to vote yesterday! I have suffered from voter apathy since the outcome of the 2000 election and have remained very cynical about our so-called 'democracy' for the past eight years. Today, I have renewed hope for this country and this world. I certainly do not believe that Obama will work miracles while he is in office. (Though I hope like hell that he'll do his best to begin to mend what is broken.) His speech last night gave me chills. Senator McCain's speech actually brought me to tears. He conceded very honorably and I truly believe he is an awesome man that deserves much respect for what he has done and will continue to do for our country. We need to set aside our differences and stop thinking in terms of blue and red and start acting like the UNITED States of America. My best wishes go out for our new commander in chief. May he continue to make history for the next four years and beyond!
